Featured Artist - Rosco Gordon (Part One)

Part of a group of musicians known as the Beale Streeters who came to the fore in Memphis in the late 40's / early 50's, American pianist Rosco Gordon may not have found the fame afforded B.B. King or Bobby Bland, but he was an important influence on those who followed.  His distinctive piano playing, with its shuffle rhythm, helped shape Jamaican music in the early 60's and he was still playing and recording great music up until his death in 2002.
