Happy Trails - Fiddlin' John Carson - Taxes On The Farmers Feeds Them All

From the 2002 compilation "The Roots Of Ry Cooder", this Fiddlin' John Carson tune is a variant on a traditional American Folk song from the end of the 19th Century.  30 years earlier, Ry Cooder had recorded the song on "Into The Purple Valley".  The song can also be found here.

"Well, the banker says he's broke and the merchant stops and smoke
But they forget that it's the farmer that feeds them all"
